My research on the Watkins family name is centered in England at the rural village of Ruardean, which is situated in the Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, close to the Welsh border.
Other areas which my ancestors have sent me searching are Manchester, which is the city where I was born. Then further north to Kendal in the picturesque Lake District. If that wasn't far enough, I am back down south to Broadwindsor in Dorset and then over to Wales the land of song, in Aberavon and Peterstone.
