BillingsGazette.com :: MONTANA State genealogy conference set: "The Yellowstone Genealogy Forum will host a statewide genealogy conference on Oct. 5-6.
'In Search of Our Ancestors' will be at the Holiday Inn Grand Montana.
The program includes several national speakers as well as representatives from the National Archives, Bureau of Land Management, Montana counties and a local researcher of pioneers and area history.
A tour of Billings cemeteries will be Oct. 4 before the conference starts."

Indiana Genealogical Society: Elkhart Hosts Genealogy Workshop: "The Elkhart County Genealogical Society (http://www.rootsweb.com/~inelkhar/ecgs.htm) will hold their annual Genealogy Workshop on October 27 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Rush Memorial Center (304 Vistula St., Bristol IN). Shirley Gage Hodges will be the featured speaker. Her topics include:
* 'Maps, Gazetteers, and Directories'
* 'Church Records'
* 'Newspapers: A Valuable Research Tool'
* 'The Internet: Blessings and Curses'"
