volunteers needed in Chicago, USA

from usenet:-

The Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County Illinois is preparing to
index the Declarations of Intent (to become a citizen) in their office,
and needs volunteer typists to enter data into computer files. When
completed, you will be able to search the new index for the period of
1906 thru 1929 on the internet, so that you can order records by file ID
number. So, if you can type, and have a little extra time, call Mr. Phil
Costello at 312.603.6601 and leave your name and phone number. Someone
will contact you with all the info and then send you an application.
All the work will be at the Daley Center, Clark and Washington, in
downtown Chicago.

PS: A personal NOTE: Anyone who has spent some time with the NARA film
M-1285 knows that there are at least five repositories of Chicago
naturalization records:
US District court
Superior court
Cook County Circuit court
County court
Criminal court
This project will narrow the possibilities as to where the records you
are looking for are located.
