Ask a Librarian in Wales

Ask Cymru: "We have a team of over 50 trained librarians and information professionals who have direct access to the resources of university, public and college libraries throughout Wales. Whatever the subject of your enquiry, our team will come up with an answer or guide you to other sources of information that will help you.

Public, university and college libraries throughout Wales along with the National Library of Wales work together to provide the Ask Cymru service. When you e-mail your question it is automatically routed to one of the participating libraries. Using their skill and experience the librarians will search the resources available to them - electronic and print - to find the answer. They will then send you an e-mail responding to your question within 48 hours.

We welcome questions from schoolchildren and university lecturers; from crossword solvers and research students. Because Ask Cymru is a Welsh service, we are especially equipped to answer questions about Wales and things Welsh. However, our resources cover the whole range of knowledge and we will be pleased to answer questions on any subject."
