I Do -- Marriage Record Research - Tracing Lines by Ruby Coleman (October 2004): "Marriage records are inconsistent from one county to another and from one state to another. At various times periods they were recorded in different formats and according to laws that are no longer in existence. During the colonial era many couples were married by circuit riding preachers who did not keep track of their marriages, baptisms and burials. In some cases, couples went ahead and lived together as man and wife until they could be officially married.
Some of the words that you will encounter in research of marriage records are the following: se URL"

Local trains

Take a local train (final destination indicated as Pontypridd) from Cardiff Central main line station to Cathays station. You will pass through Queen Street station on the way. Cathays station is next to the University Union and only a few minutes walk from several of the main buildings of the University.
These local trains leave every 5 - 20 minutes (at approximately 5,15, 20, 42 and 55 minutes past the hour) until the last train at 23:24 and cost about £1.20 (single). A reduced service operates at weekends.

Local buses

Buses leave at regular intervals from designated bays within Cardiff Bus Station which is situated next to the Central Train Station. Cardiff buses do not have conductors; you must pay the driver the exact fare on entry. You should, therefore, ensure that you have some small change ready before you get on the bus. The number 53 leaves from stand D2 and the numbers 79 and 81 leave from stand D4.
How to Find Us

I don't like the design of this site
I hate gov.uk webmasters whodon't understand the users

and
meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0"
because it is so clumsy evidently giving false security and encouraging sloppy design

A small charge is made for the use of microfilm and microfiche. << paid for out of tax payers money - why should we pay twice ?

parish registers list pdf then pdf is a pain on slow connections

both formats shoukd be on line html and text - txt - too

from my email:-
a reply to - Can anybody advise on the best way to trace my living cousins?

Have a look at the Finding People section of my Help Page for some ideas as
to how to go about this.

If all else fails you could also try putting a letter in the local
newspaper, has worked for me in the past
