Hedvig's Family Pages
The purpose of this site is my friend Hedvig's family history concerning mainly
ØRUM, MEYER and PITZNER surnames in Denmark, Norway, Germany, Latvia,
Estonia and Russia.
And here is a story worth reading about this russian lady
who fled to USA in 1918 - Countess Maria Koutousova
and I have had fun helping Hedvig fix this - there is a lot more to come.

Hej Hugo
Hovedmenu.
Venlig hilsen

FamilySearch - FAQ GEDCOM
GEDCOM stands for Genealogical Data Communications and is a file format specification that allows different genealogical software programs to share data with each other.
GEDCOM XML 6.0 - [Adobe Acrobat format]
Dear GEDCOM Developer:
This letter accompanies a "beta" version of the GEDCOM XML Specification, Release 6.0. It is a complete specification and is suitable for use, with the understanding that its practical application may uncover some problems that necessitate change. It is believed that such changes will be minor and few.

+Reading Latin by Prof. R. A. Oldaker
A lot of monoglot people do not realise you can get a useful passive knowledge of any language by reading -- or listening - which is how infants learn, and teach themselves, to speak.
And latin turns up in old church books and other legal documents.
