Personal Blog of Dennis Partridge Layoffs at "It appears that has made the decision to conduct sweeping layoffs of its employees again today. This is not their first time; they having done so in 2000 and 2004. It remains a tragic loss for the employees and families involved as they find themselves suddenly without income. Those that remain, if 2001 is any indication, will find themselves overwhelmed with work as they try to do 2 jobs at once." - Your private family website. It's quick and easy. Salt Lake Tribune - Business: "MyFamily reorganization
affects around 10% of jobs

Reorganization and expansion of the family of genealogy Web sites and services divisions has resulted in a turnover of about 10 percent of the company's 500 jobs.
Spokeswoman Mary Kay Evans said Wednesday that about 50 employees left the Provo company last week, even as about 60 new positions were opened.
Employees have been invited to apply for the new jobs, she said.
The work force shift came as proceeded with plans to split into five business units - the original Web site, Family History, Heritage Bankers (a direct sales company acquired last fall), Commerce (online/offline sales) and International.
The International division is growing fast, planning this year to add Italy, France and Germany sites to those already serving Britain and Canada.

Family Tree Beta 2

rzamor1: LDS Family Tree Beta 2 Update:

"Dear Beta Testers, It is time to start preparing for the second beta test of Family Tree, and we need your help. To have a successful beta test, we need to invite members with differing levels of family history experience. In our first beta test, most testers were family history center directors, consultants, and members who have done family history work in the past. The feedback we received from this group was just what we needed, but for beta 2 we need to expand the demographics."

"Family History Department wants to do to help the average member, and others, who do not have much experience with family history generally."(Anonymous)

He states he had been a sheppard for 13 years. William had a previous conviction of six weeks gaol in Dorset for running away from his master, Mr [James] Devenish, a farmer.

In 1827 William was found guilty of stealing a sheep. The following isreported to be a transcript of William's trial at the Dorchester Assizes in the County of Dorset.
